My Friend Theo December 11, 2005

Theo and I have been friends now for … going on 7 years.  I love her.  I love her laugh.  I love her rationale. 

Today we met for a snack in the city.  Our snack was at this place:

Chicago Chocolate

I had the most fabulous hot chocolate – Dark Hot Chocolate with Whip Cream and Dark Chocolate drizzled over the top!  Fabulous!  Theo and I sat there for 2 hours discussing our lives, dissecting our lives, reassuring each other that the decisions we made/are making are the right ones. 

Leaving her today at her place of employment, I drove away feeling rejuvenized, feeling good.  This was all last minute and threw a huge wrench in my plans for Sunday, but its not everyday do I get to see Theo nor get to spend a few hours delving into something I love … CHOCOLATE!  And though I havent started a single thing that I wanted to do today, I do know that my friendship with Theo has been tended to, cared for, given the attention it needed.  In a few weeks, or a month, I’ll see Theo again, right when its needed. 

Magical December 1, 2005

Its totally magical.  Picking up a paintbrush and letting it do its thing – paint, bring color, vibrancy, life, story to its canvas. 

Tonight was my last pottery class.  I painted all of my pieces.  I cant imagine what they will look like, but each time I will look at them, I will remember the magic and serentity I felt when I was molding the clay and painting the fired piece.
