today, while drying my hair, i noticed a curl. not just one curl, but several. i have gone 35 – 36 years with poker straight hair. so this is big-time news! i have no idea where these came from, is it because i am getting older and the hormones slash genetics are changing?
(i get my hair from my mother, however, with these new found curls, it looks as if dad has left something behind. )
had to have these lights from ikea. of course there is no perfect place to hang them in my house. i choose the sliding glass door going to the patio … not sure i like them here either. but i do like them.
weirdly i am finding peace in watching the snowflakes find their way…

totally annoyed tonight. i had my annual eye exam / visit today. while waiting for the doctor in the waiting room, i am sitting next to a woman with a newborn and a probably 5 yr old. out comes her daughter from her exam, and is shown trays of glasses that were for public aid recipients.
public aid. i have no problem with assisting the poor or less advantaged. however when the less advantaged is sitting in a doctors office wearing brand new k-swiss sneakers, three kids, one of them a baby, and cell phone, i have a bit of a problem with that.
one, if you can afford k-swiss sneakers on public aid, there is something wrong with our government. two, if you are on public aid, how is having another child helping your situation? and lastly, i am really annoyed that my tax dollars are paying for that woman to have children she cant afford. am i paying for her christmas too?
i know several people who cant have children, or have tried for so long have just given up. these people should be the ones having the children, not the women on public aid.

as i sit here and eat my ben & jerry’s mint chocolate cookie ice cream, and surf the net, i realized i have done something creative for the last two days. meaning as of dec 1st ive been creative. i think it needs to continue. so i am challenging myself to do something creative every day in december.
so back to this ice cream. its the next best thing to sliced bread. im tellin’ ya!
my pre-lit tree is no longer pre-lit. i pulled it out of the box last night, put it together, plugged it in and nothing. no lights whatsoever. i unplugged and plugged 3 more times, nada. pissed, i went upstairs and pulled every strand of lights i had in my christmas box and threw them on the tree. i have 3 different types of lights … i have a strand at the bottom that has like 3 times as many lights as a regular strand. then i have a couple of normal strands, and then on the very top i have the flower lights.
on top of all of this, the top of the tree leans … 
i found these cards on paper source. tried something different this year, didnt put all the usual ornaments on the tree. used the cards instead. all i did was punch a eyelet thru the card and then added a hook and voila!
i like the crafty-new-unique feel it gives the tree. not so white trash anymore.
