in photoshop again. this time though i took my inspiration from a family photographer in california. she used a ‘view finder’ framing on her pictures that i just fell in love with. gives them the ‘old’ or i should say ‘vintage’ look. here’s my attempt at it. …buckingham fountain, chicago.
edit – if i didnt get the modern building in the background, on the right side, this would have looked like a true old picture. with the older building on the left. damn.

did a little playing with photoshop yesterday on a photo i had taken. check out the lighting in this one … it starts off dark at the bottom, and (i am having a deja vu right now – right this minute!) then it gets lighter….very cool.
i was trying to find ideas or inspiration for my christmas photos earlier today, and came across this. its just sitting on a shelf in the scrap bookcase. funny thing is this is actually a card. it was a kind reminder of what i need to work for …
i know the december daily challenge didnt turn out as well as i had expected. hey, the holidays get to be really crazy. so i was surfing flickr tonight and saw that there is a challenge out there to do a photo a day for 2008. 365, or actually 366, pictures. of my everyday.
so i’ve started. and i’ve already screwed things up. i missed a day. jan 2.

as i sit here and eat my ben & jerry’s mint chocolate cookie ice cream, and surf the net, i realized i have done something creative for the last two days. meaning as of dec 1st ive been creative. i think it needs to continue. so i am challenging myself to do something creative every day in december.
so back to this ice cream. its the next best thing to sliced bread. im tellin’ ya!
